Plant Engineering Selects Moxa EDS-P308 as
Product of the Year Finalist
Oct 29, 2007
Taipei, Taiwan, October 29, 2007 --- The 8-port EDS-P308 , an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch offered by Moxa, was selected as a finalist for Plant Engineering magazine's 2007 Product of the Year. This is the 20th year for the magazine's Product of the Year competition, and it is widely recognized as the premier honor for new products in the plant engineering market.
The EDS-P308 is an 8-port Ethernet switch providing PoE (Power over Ethernet) on ports 1 to 4. PoE technology enables network signals and device power to be combined within a single twisted-pair cable connection. The EDS-P308 can deliver up to 15.4 watts of power through each port to connected PDs (Powered Devices), reducing the need for power outlets. With the EDS-P308 and PoE technology, network systems can achieve economical deployment, increased mobility, and simplified wiring. Additional information about the EDS-P308 is available on Gigantika's website at www.gigantika.com/subProductDetail_All.php?id=eds-p308.
