TRENDnet® Announces 802.11n Draft 2.0 Compliance for All Wireless N Portfolio Products
TORRANCE, Calif. –October 8, 2007– TRENDnet , a best-in-class networking manufacturer of wired and wireless networking solutions today announces complete wireless N product portfolio compliance with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) 802.11n draft 2.0 standard.
TRENDnet was one of the first networking brands to release IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0 products in May, 2007. The Wireless N Broadband Router (TEW-631BRP) and Wireless N Access Point (TEW-630APB) were draft 2.0 compliant as of May 31, 2007. TRENDnet is also one of the first brands to offer a complete portfolio of wireless n draft 2.0 compliant products.
Technical changes implemented for the new 802.11n draft 2.0 standard involve interoperability, channel bonding, the protection of the legacy devices and enhanced performance. The second draft of the 802.11n standard is much closer to the anticipated final ratified specification. All of TRENDnet's 802.11n draft 1.0 products are interoperable with newer 802.11n draft 2.0 products without performance degradation or the need to upgrade firmware.
